My Smart Girls!

We had "meet the teacher" tonight at Kayle's preschool. We were the first to arrive to her classroom. The teachers greeted her and asked her what her name was which she answered! Then they asked her if she could find her name on her cubby and she did!!! Such a smart girl! She then quickly ran off to play with the toys. She has 14 kids in her school. They start on Sept 2nd and I have her enrolled to attend 3 days a week this year. One of the girls in her class is from her weekly playgroup, so I'm excited that she'll know someone that she sees on a regular basis! There are also several other moms from the moms club taking their children to the same preschool this year so she should see lots of familiar faces!

In the past few weeks Averly had discovered her eye (I think she may be feeling her lashes when she blinks) and when she does I'll say eye and then I'll say nose and I touch her nose and then mouth and I touch her mouth. Well tonight while we were sitting and eating dinner she started touching her eye and so I said to her "you're eye" and she smiled; so then I asked her where her nose was and she touched her nose! Then I asked her where her mouth was and she put her finger in her mouth!!! I then started saying Yay!!! You're such a smart girl! And she started clapping!!!!

While we were gone to meet the teacher, daddy prepared dinner.....look what he did!
This is a picture of Kayle's plate:

The face is made of tomatoes with peaches to the side on top of cottage cheese. He cut the carrots in half length wise and gave her some ranch dip. She didn't eat any of the cottage cheese. She took a bite of carrot and spit it out! Oh, well! I think he did a great job and was quite surpised by the presentation!
Here's Averly's plate:

Peaches and blueberries, cottage cheese surrounded by peaches and some green beans! Averly ate her cottage cheese and a few of the peaches.
