We were in Target the other day (yes, it's my second home! ha!) and I let Kayle pick out a new lunch bag and she chose Ni Hao, Kai-Lan (if you're curious about Ni Hao, Kai-Lan, click here). I then told her it would be for school and asked her if she was ready to go back to school. She excitedly replied with a "yes!" and proceeded to talk about going to school and seeing "Max", which it took me about 24 hours to recall that there was a boy named Maddox in her class that ended in May. Then she began saying "After I play baseball I will go to school"....I'm not sure where she came up with that! A Target employee said hi to her and she told him all about her lunch bag and playing baseball and then going to school after playing baseball! I don't think he understood a word she said though, because he just replied with an uh-huh and went on! He didn't know what he was getting himself into when he said hi to her! So needless to say we still have a little over a week to go before school starts and I'm regretting saying the word school to her because she's definitely ready to go and tells me daily that she wants to go to school!
